1 p.m. Petty Rumors

Why a tribute band to both Tom Petty & Stevie Nicks? Stevie Nicks herself once said, "If Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers had said 'leave Fleetwood Mac and come and join us,' I probably would have." That led our band to connect-the-dots and create Petty Rumours.

Like many other tribute acts, Petty Rumours has gone through its share of growing pains, playing around Long Island a bit before arriving at its current line-up of musicians.  Mike Breier, a known Petty fanatic, was the obvious choice on bass with vocals; a role he eagerly accepted.  Finally, Ed Ryan was sought out as lead Petty vocalist after Chris and Diane watched an incredible performance by Ed during The Concert for Bangladesh with Wondrous Stories at B.B. King's in New York City.  They were greatly impressed by his extraordinary vocal range and style to cover both Tom Petty and Lindsey Buckingham.

In the words of Tom Petty himself, "Music is probably the only real magic I have encountered in my life.  There's not some trick involved with it.  It's pure and it's real.  It moves, it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things."

2 p.m. Matt Grabowski

Grabowski began solo performing right out of high school, with influences ranging from Harry Chapin to Hozier. His music contains storytelling lyrics laid on top of music that falls somewhere between Americana and Alternative. In 2016, Grabowski was named winner of the Gold Coast Arts Center’s Your Big Break competition entered by 1,500 contestants. He continues to perform in the tristate area multiple times each week. His debut single, “Bring The Rains (Down)” is available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music and digital distributors. thebiggrabowski.org
